GPR grouping – Lieutenant Eric Martin – KIA 6 June1944

Very nice original WW2 Glider Pilot Grouping named to Lieutenant Eric Martin, 186684, 1st Wing – Glider Pilot Regiment AAC, who was Killed in Action during Operation MALLARD on 6 June 1944 and burried Ranville War Cemetery. Copy of the war diary comes with this grouping. Captain Morrison commanded No.5 Flight in D squadron, they flew on the second lift on the evening of 6th June, carrying a platoon of the 2nd Battalion Oxforshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.  The grouping consist of the follwing medals: 1939-1945 Star, Franc & Germandy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal with medal box addressed to his father and a beautiful uniform removed Glider wing, This wing was worn by Eric Martin.
