Glider Pilot Helm – Size 7

Very rare WW2 British Glider Pilot Crash helmet. Very good condition! Issued to British Army Air Corps – Glider Pilots who famously wore them during Operation Overlord, the D-day invasion and Operation Market Garden in Holland. The helmet is having all of its original brown coloured lacquered fabric cover. Internally the webbing liner is very good and the chamois remains very clean. The rubber earpiece cups are perfect and having the headphones and externally wired loom present, this is often missing. The leather part of the helmet is also very good, Air Ministry (AM) marked with size 7. The elastic chinstrap and snap fasteners is also good and complete. Shows minor traces of usage.
