Denison Smock – 2nd Model – 1945

Original WW2 British Denison Smock. This is a 2nd model smock, fitted with buttoned handcuffs instead of wool, in good used condition. The smock shows normal traces of usage, bright colors. Fitted with its original and functional zipper. The smock has its original makers label present, maker marked by ‘John Gordon & Co’. Dated 1945 in a perfect mannequin size 4. WD marked with letter Z what indicates the date 1945. The smock is fitted with Newey press studs. Small damage underneath right arm. The smock retains its full length tail what is often missing. These smocks were used by British and Canadian airborne troops, Commando’s and regular army troops.

Original early wartime ‘hand painted’ Denison Smock 1st model in good used condition! These early first models were were hand painted, and not offered for sale very often. The smock shows normal traces of usage. The zipper closure is marked ‘N’ what indicates the company of Newey. The smock has its original makers label, maker marked by C.W.S. this company doesn’t show the date on the label very often, the early 1942 types of camouflage were handpainted fabrics. The smock is fitted with Newey press studs, good functional zipper. Full length tail is present, one front press stud for the tail is missing. These smocks were used by British and Canadian Paratroopers, Commando’s or regular army troops.
