Denison Smock – 1st Model – CWS Ltd.

Original British WW2 Denison Smock ‘1st model’ in used condition! The smock shows clear traces of usage with several field repairs caused by usage, a combat worn smock! The zipper closure is in good condition and funtional, marked ‘Slip’,  The smock has its original makers label, maker marked by C.W.S. Ltd. it’s very common that C.W.S. label do not have a date, 1st model Denison smock (with woolen cuffs) were only made in 1942 or 1943. Size 3 which is a good size. The smock is fitted with Newey press studs. Tail has been cut off what we see on most combat worn smocks. These smocks were used by British and Canadian Paratroopers, Commando’s and also regular army troops.

Original early wartime ‘hand painted’ Denison Smock 1st model in good used condition! These early first models were were hand painted, and not offered for sale very often. The smock shows normal traces of usage. The zipper closure is marked ‘N’ what indicates the company of Newey. The smock has its original makers label, maker marked by C.W.S. this company doesn’t show the date on the label very often, the early 1942 types of camouflage were handpainted fabrics. The smock is fitted with Newey press studs, good functional zipper. Full length tail is present, one front press stud for the tail is missing. These smocks were used by British and Canadian Paratroopers, Commando’s or regular army troops.
