CGG Canadian Armoured Beret – Dorothea 1945


WW2 Canadian Grenadier Guards, black coloured beret as intended for Royal Canadian Armoured Corps (armoured personnel). The Canadian army adopted the beret in 1943. This beret is maker marked Dorothea Knitting Mills, Toronto. Dated 1945, size 6 3/4.  Field worn condition, shows several damages and traces of wear. Much harder to find than a British made RAC beret.

This is an orginal WW2 Royal Canadian Armoured Corps beret (tank beret). The Canadian army adopted the beret in 1943. The very first RCAC (black) berets where only marked with the C stamp. Later in 1943 they were issued with the factory maker markings. Hard to find Canadian WW2 beret.
The beret appears in good used condition. Lugs for a capbadge present.
