British Container Parachute
WW2 British drop container parachute and bag. Drop containers were dropped for Airborne and Resistance/SOE operations to drop supplies behind enemy lines. The colours of the parachutes on the containers would give an indication about the load they were carrying. The colours used were periodically changed to confuse the enemy. This parachute is white, the chute is in good condition, there’s a panel damaged, most lines are still attached. The bag is fitted with one hook in order to attach the parachute to the container, the other hook is cut off.
