British Airborne Fibre Rim Helmet

WW2 British Airborne (Paratrooper) Fibre Rim helmet. This is an early wartime HSAT helmet with fibre rim, fitted with its original leather chinstrap construction in good used condition. The chin cup has the chamois lining present. The liner of the helmet complete and in good condition, clearly maker marked BMB and dated 1942, in good size 7 1/8. The black sorbo is still supple. The crash pad is not present. The rim and shell has cracked all around, this was one of the reasons they didn’t produce the fibre rim anymore in 1943. The shell has it’s original first layer paint. Netting is original but is added later.
