17th Duke of York’s ‘Royal Canadian Hussars’ – Battle Dress Jacket
€750,00
RARE original WWII 17th Duke of York’s ‘Royal Canadian Hussars’ battle dress jacket. This is a Canadian battle dress blouse is ‘out of the woodwork’. The jacket’s manufacturing stamp is not legible, but I believe this is a size 9 jacket. All insignia are original and period-applied, including a pair of English-made printed canvas shoulder titles for the 17th Duke of York’s and rank pips on both shoulder straps for a Lieutenant. The jacket shows signs of wear and damage; please refer to the photos for details. Both upper arms show shadowing from 3rd Canadian Infantry Division patches, which appear to have been removed by the Lieutenant for unknown reasons.
This is a field-worn example of a hard to find 17th Duke of York’s ‘Royal Canadian Hussars’ battle dress blouse.
